Forest Pansy Project / 2020 / Adelaide
Garden Design
Forest Pansy Project is a courtyard design for an existing garden after renovation works. The garden features a small grove of Forest Pansy Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’ which provides maximum variety with its pink flowers appearing on the stems in spring and its heart-shaped maroon-purple leaves turning a brilliant yellow-orange in autumn. Set in raked granitic gravels and surrounded by hedges of Rhaphiolepsis indica ‘Oriental Pearl’ and a wall of Trachelospermum jasminoides ‘Star Jasmine’, the courtyard provides a lovely seating area of Minaro ‘crazy paving’ slate, as well as multiple views as you move around the house and look out.
